Paint the Music Description
Paint the Music uses Music (live or pre-recorded) and art creation simultaneously to allow for persons to experience the healing power of art and music, foster creativity, reveal hidden abilities, communicate feelings, and to increase intimacy between caregivers and their loved ones.

Paint the Music History

Founded in 2009 by Nitza Danieli Horner, (Teaching Artist Metropolitan Museum of Art, Pediatric Oncology Therapeutic Artist) Paint the Music was piloted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. All the images for Paint the Music are from the Met's Permanent collection. See images below. In 2010 Holly Lapine joined Nitza in her mission and helped further define its goals through research and practice.
