Founder: Holly Lapine, MA-ATR
Holly Lapine is a registered Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association. She holds a Masters degree in Art Therapy from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio and a dual bachelors in Psychology and Art History from the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York. She has a background using art therapy with various populations including at-risk adolescents, developmentally disabled adolescents, children with ADHD and learning disabilities, geriatrics and persons with dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease. In 2010, Holly joined Nitza Danieli through a connection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and she joined the Paint the Music movement as co-director / research analyst. Piloted at the MET (see PDF), Paint the Music was presented by Holly & Nitza in 2015 at the 46th Annual Art Therapy Association’s Conference in Minneapolis, Minesota. In 2017, Holly became an Art Educator at the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art in Ridgefield, Connecticut where she is able to use her therapeutic skills in a unique way to make contemporary art accessible to all, from toddlers to seniors. In 2018, Holly created Artbeats, an organization dedicated to enriching ALL lives using art and music for expression and self-discovery, through ALL of the senses.
